School Tour Application
Frequently Asked Questions
Why book a school visit?
Groups are always welcome to visit the library on their own, but if you would like your group to get the most out of their visit to the library, then we recommend booking a school visit!
What does a school visit include?
We can tailor your school visit to your needs, and the age of your students – Typically, a visit is 30-60 minutes, and can include a storytime, booktalks, tour (including behind-the-scenes). You are welcome to enjoy the library facilities on your own before and/or after your tour as well.
How much does a school visit cost?
Nothing – School tours are FREE!
Can I bring a group for a visit without booking?
Of course! But, if you do decide to bring your school group on your own, we do ask that you contact us in advance if it’s a large group. Call 604-231-6412 for Kids’ Place visits.
What days/times are available for school visits?
It’s helpful if you have a number of possible dates and times that could work for your group, and know approximately how many students, teachers and parent helpers (if any) you’d like us to accommodate. That way we can look at our schedule and make sure we find a time that works for everyone.
How far in advance should I book my visit?
Please book your visit a minimum of 3 weeks in advance. If you have special requests or concerns please contact us at the Kids Place Information Desk phone: 604-231-6412.
How can I book a visit for my class?
Fill out and submit the form to the left, come into the library, or call the Kids’ Place Desk at 604-231-6412.
